Indians Roll in Final Pre-Season Game

The Stephens County Indians football team played their second and final pre-season scrimmage game Friday night at The Reservation and came away with a 48 to 8 victory over Banks County.

  The Indians scored 5 touchdowns in the 1st half—two touchdown passes from quarterback Ben Stowe, a 45-yard strike to Corey Ritchie and a 30-yard score to Cam Lacy.  The three first half rushing TD’s came on a 1 yard run by Armand Cunningham and 2 scoring runs by T. J. Everett.  In the third quarter, Cunningham scored again on a 66 yard run, and Jarvis Thompson had a 65 yard touchdown run.  Banks County’s points came on a safety in the second quarter and a short rushing touchdown by Kellon Walley in the third.  On the defensive side, Cam Lacy had a fumble recovery and an interception.  Jasec Smith also had an interception.

Stephens County will open the regular season this Friday night when they host White County at The Reservation.
