Indians Produce 18 Hits in Runaway Win at Hart
The Stephens County Indians played nearly a perfect game on Tuesday night in Hartwell defeating Hart County 13-0 in five innings.
The Indians had 18 hits in the game with every starter having at least one hit.
The Indians offense was led by Konnor Loudermilk who went 4 for 4 including a home run and a double and 4 RBI’s.. Tyler Zigan added 3 hits and 2 RBI’s, Findley Ward and Duke Collins added 2 RBI’s each, and Hayden Scott and Landon Carter added an RBI each.
Ward was outstanding on the mound going 4 innings with Kaiden Allen’s 1st inning double the only Bulldog hit or baserunner. Ward had 4 strikeouts and no walks and the Indians played flawless defense behind him with zero errors. Freshman Landry Williams got the final 3 outs with a perfect 5th inning.
Stephens County improved to 4-3 in region-8 AA play and 14-5 overall. Hart County suffered an 8th straight loss and fell to 8-14 overall and 0-7 in the region.
The two teams will match up again Wednesday night at the reservation with first pitch at 5:55 P.M. and airtime at 5:45 P.M. on WNEG.
