Indians host Lions Tonight in Varsity Football

By Ken Brady

The Stephens County Indians will host the Franklin County Lions tonight in high school varsity football. Kickoff is scheduled for 7:30 p.m. at The Reservation. Last Friday, the Indians had an open date and their record is 2-3. Franklin County comes into tonight’s game undefeated after 5 games, including last Friday’s home win against West Hall, 60-0. This will be the first Region 8-AA game for both teams. Last year, Stephens County defeated Franklin County in Carnesville, 35-3.

Last night on the Crunch Time radio program, Indians’ Defensive Ends Coach Chase Coleman said the Indians had some extra time to get ready to play the Lions since they did not play last Friday night:

93.1FM and AM630 WNEG begins coverage tonight with the Indian Tailgate Show live from the stadium at 5:30 p.m., followed by Coach’s Corner at 7 p.m., and pre-game at 7:15 p.m.
