Indians Finish Off Sweep of Eagles

Noah Strickland pitched 4 and 1/3 innings for the win and added two RBI’s at the plate to lead Stephens County to a 4-2 victory and a sweep over region foe East Jackson Friday night.

Strickland allowed 2 runs on 2 hits while striking out six. Noah Holbrooks pitched 2 and 2/3 innings in relief to earn the save. Holbrooks allowed only one hit and struck out three.

Both teams only had three hits in the game, but the Indians took advantage of four Eagles errors.

The Indians defeated East Jackson 8-2 on Wednesday and 7-1 on Thursday.

It is the 4th straight win for the Indians now 3-0 in region-8 AA play and 10-5 overall. East Jackson falls to 0-6 in the region and 3-15 overall.

Stephens County will travel to Hebron Christian Academy on Monday to face the Lions. Hebron Christian is 15-1 overall and 6-0 in the region. Game time on Monday is set for 5:55 P.M. with airtime at 5:45 P.M. on WNEG.
