Indians Fall to Lions in Dacula

Brodie Lewis pitched a complete game, allowing only 3 hits and striking out 9, to lead Hebron Christian Academy to a 6-1 victory over Stephens County Wednesday night in Dacula.
The Lions scored 3 runs in the 2nd inning and added a run in the 3rd and 2 runs in the 4th inning.  Lewis, Gus Steve, and Dallas Rice had an RBI each, two runs scored on an attempted pickoff, and a run scored on a balk.
All of the Indians hits, and the lone run came in the top of the 4th when Duke Collins and Findley Ward reached on singles, and Collins scored on Konnor Loudermilk’s infield single.
Lewis got the win for Hebron, now 7-1 in region-8 AA play and 14-7 overall.
Hayden Scott started the game for the Indians and allowed 3 runs on 4 hits. Noah Holbrooks pitched 3 and 2/3 innings in relief allowing 3 runs on 4 hits. Caden Hogan faced one batter to get the final out in the 6th.
Stephens County falls to 2-3 in the region and 12-5 overall.
The two teams will meet again on Friday night at Stephens County High School with first pitch scheduled for 5:55 P.M. and airtime at 5:45 P.M. on WNEG.
