Indians Earn Split at Rabun

Same games…different winners. That was the story Tuesday night in Tiger, Georgia.

The Stephens County boys trailed early, took control in the 2nd quarter, and rolled to an 83-40 win over Rabun County.

Ty Nails scored 21 of his game-high 26 points in the 1st half and the Indians led 38-16 at the break. Kenny Colwell added 17 points, and Nigel Green was also in double figures with 10 points.
Ten different players scored for the Indians as they improved to 3-2 on the season.

It was the season opener for Rabun County now 0-1. Cameron Lovell led the Wildcats with 12 points.

In the girls contest, Rabun County trailed early, led by 15 at the half, and rolled to an 85-39 win over Stephens County.

12 different players scored for the Lady Cats in their season opener led by seniors Georgia Stockton with 20 points, and Brooke Henricks 15.

Ranajah Verdell scored 14 points to lead the Lady Indians. Stephens County’s record is now 1-3.

The Indians and Lady Indians will return to action on Friday at Franklin County. Airtime is set for 6:45 P.M. on 93.1 FM & AM-630 WNEG.
