Stephens County dropped a pair of games Saturday in non-region baseball play at Habersham Central High School.

In the first game, Stephens County fell behind in the bottom of the first inning and could not catch up as Elbert County won 11-1 in five innings.

Stephens County scored just one run on three hits off of Elbert pitcher Storm Mills when Jordan Page doubled and scored on a Seth Jameson single. Ian Rumsey took the loss on the mound for Stephens County, giving up seven runs in two-plus innings.

In the nightcap, Habersham Central scored six runs in the bottom of the fifth inning to put the Indians away, 11-1, in five innings.

Leading 5-1 after four innings, the Raiders scored six runs without recording an out in the fifth, ending the game on a walk with the bases loaded.

Carson Worley took the loss for the Indians, allowing five runs in three innings. Logan Bogue struck out 10 Indians to pick up the win on the mound for Habersham. The Indians’ lone run against the Raiders came when Ayden Garmon singled to score Jordan Page.
