Indians Down Bulldogs

De’undra Singleton scored a game high 30 points, including sinking 12 out of 13 free throws, to lead the Stephens County Indians to a 69-55 victory over Hart County Tuesday night in the Currahee Arena at Stephens County High School.

The Indians struggled against the Hart County ball pressure throughout the game and trailed by as many as six points in the third quarter, but outscored the Bulldogs by nine the remainder of the 3rd quarter to take a 10 point lead to the 4th.

Ty Nails scored 13 points in the second half and 16 for the game, and Chaz Bridges added 10 for the Indians.

Hart County was led in scoring by Jalen Brown with 16 points.

Stephens County moves to 4 and 0 on the season, Hart County falls to 2 and 3.

In the girls contest, Stephens County opened the game strong jumping out to a 14-5 lead, but it was Hart County the rest of the way as the Lady Bulldogs defeated the Lady Indians 66-44.

Anaiah Wilson, Kiki Howard, and Tykia Thompson scored seven points each for the Indians.

Hart County was led by Taniya Alexander’s 15 points.

The Lady Indians fall to 4-3 on the season. Hart County is now 3-2.
