Hebron Takes Two Over Indians

The top ranked Hebron Christian Academy Lady Lions led by 28 points after the opening quarter and rolled to a 74-13 win over the Stephens County Lady Indians Tuesday night in Dacula.

Hebron took a 48-7 lead into halftime and held the Lady Indians scoreless in the 3rd quarter.

Eleven different Lady Lions scored in the game with four in double figures led by Gabby Minus 12 points. Kobi Barnes added 10 points and was honored by the team during the game after reaching the 1500 point mark for her high school career.

Hebron improves to 17-1 and 3-0 in region-8 AA.

Stephens County was led by Aleah Curry with 5 points and falls to 7-10 on the season and 1-2 in the region.

Hebron Christian also took control of the boys game early and rolled to a 75-41 win.

Brandyn Manning and Lucas Romine scored 17 points each for the Lions now 14-4 overall and 3-0 in the region.

Stephens County falls to 4-13 overall and 1-2 in the region. Colsen Ivey led the Indians with 18 points and Jayden Haynie added 11.

The Indians boys will host Washington-Wilkes in a non-region game on Wednesday at 7 P.M.

The Indians and Lady Indians will travel to Hart County on Friday night with the girls game at 6 P.M. Airtime will be 5:45 P.M. on WNEG.
