Hebron Rolls on Senior Night-Clinch Regular Season
It was senior night Friday night in Dacula and the Hebron Christian Academy seniors shined in blowout wins over Stephens County.
Both Lions girls and boys teams clinched the regular season titles in region-8 AA and will be the top seed in the region tournament.
In the girls game, the nation’s 3rd ranked Lady Lions got 27 points from Miami bound Danielle Osho and 24 points from Auburn bound Kerra Butler to roll to a 96-22 win over Stephens County.
Mia James, headed to George Washington University, added 13 points for the Lady Lions improving their record to 8-0 in the region and 22-1 overall.
Hebron Christian was playing without their top rated player Aubrey Beckham who is headed to play at Georgia next year.
Aleria Faulkner and Aleah Curry had 5 points each for Stephens County, now 1-6 in the region and 3-19 overall.
In the boys game, senior Brandon Becker scored 24 points on seven 3-pointers and a three point play to lead the Lions to an 81-35 victory.
Devon McField added 21 points for the Lions, now 8-0 in the region and 13-9 overall.
Colsen Ivey was the only Stephens County player in double figures scoring 18 points.
The Indians fall to 0-7 in the region and 1-20 overall.
Stephens County will be back on the road on Tuesday at Hart County. Tipoff for the girls game is scheduled for 6 P.M. with airtime set for 5:45 P.M. on WNEG.
