Hatchett wins 50th District State Senate Republican Run-off

The results are in.

Following Tuesday’s election, Bo Hatchett has won the Republican run-off for State Senate District 50; but, it may be too close to call.

Hatchett amassed a total of 1,152 votes in Stephens County and 50.07 percent of the votes in District 50.

His challenger Stacy Hall received 1,446 votes in Stephens County and 49.93 percent of the votes throughout the district.

However, at this time, no provisional ballots have been counted throughout the district.

In the U.S. House of Representatives District 9 Run-Off, Republican Andrew Clyde secured his spot as the Republican candidate for the deciding election in November.

Clyde received 1,446 votes in Stephens County and 56.28 percent of the Republican votes in District 9.

Clyde’s challenger State Representative Matt Gurtler received support from 933 voters in Stephens County and 43.72 percent of the Republican votes in District 9.

On the Democratic side, Devin Pandy took the lead with181 votes in Stephens County and 68.38 percent of the Democratic votes in District 9.

Pandy’s challenger Brooke Siskin received support from 68 voters in Stephens County and 31.62 percent of the Democratic votes in District 9.
