Hart County Wins 10U District Title-Advances to Final in 11U

Hart County swept a pair of games over Toccoa Little League in District 7 tournament play Tuesday night at Doyle Street Park in Toccoa.

In the 10U game, Hart County scored 9 runs in the 3rd inning to take the District 7 championship 11-1 over Toccoa.

Beckett Simmons’ RBI single scored Karter Young for Toccoa’s only run. Toccoa finishes as the District 7 10U runner-up.

In the nightcap, a Hart County relay cut down a runner at home to end a Toccoa rally and end the game by a final score of 8-6 in the District 7 11U tournament.

Hart County led 8-2 in the 4th inning but Toccoa scored two runs in each of the 5th and 6th innings before the final out.

Jo Taylor and Myles Addison had 2 RBI’s each and Brantley Kelley added an RBI for Toccoa.

Hart County advances to the District 7 championship on Thursday.

Toccoa will face Franklin County in an elimination game on Wednesday night at 7 P.M. with airtime at 6:45 P.M. on WNEG.
