Habersham County Emergency Services respond to a Structure Fire on Highland Drive

On April 15, dispatch received a call regarding a structure fire on Highland Drive off The Orchard Road in Clarkesville. 

When units arrived on scene, they saw mass amounts of smoke and noticed most of the fire was contained in the garage area. There were four residents in the home at the time; however, all residents were safely able to exit the home with no injuries. 

Units from all over Habersham County responded to the scene: Habersham County Emergency Services, Baldwin Fire, Habersham County Sheriff’s Office, and Lee Arrendale State Prison Fire Department Team. 

The cause of the fire is still under investigation with the State Fire Marshal’s Office.
