GSP Trooper crashes into Toccoa man’s city-owned vehicle
A Toccoa man was sent to the hospital last week after a Georgia State Patrol trooper stuck his vehicle.
According to the Georgia State Patrol, a state trooper ran his patrol car into a city-owned truck driven by 47-year-old Christopher Fulbright.
The wreck happened on August 4, around 4 p.m. as a GSP vehicle was heading westbound on GA 17 approaching GA 106. The patrol vehicle then entered the intersection on a red signal, striking Fulbright’s city-owned truck.
The GSP has identified the at-fault driver as Trooper First Class Greer.
According to the GSP, at the time of the accident, Greer was not responding to a call.
No charges are pending and Greer remains on the job.
Fulbright was transported to the hospital for complaints of injuries.
No other details have been released at this time.
