Get the September edition of The Dirt, says Sidney Gay, Stephens County Extension Coordinator and Agriculture and Natural Resources Agent.

“Happy September, fall is around the corner. This month’s article is about controlling winter weeds in your lawn. It is already time to start thinking about that. We have two UGA Expert Resources. One about planting and growing annual forages, and then the other about when to treat fire ants. There’s a new invasive pest in Georgia, it’s in Southwest Georgia called the Pasture Mealy Bug. So, we have some information about that in the Livestock Lowdown. And then the upcoming event that I want you to know about is our Landscape Design Lunch and Learn, which will be on September 11, and you’ll need to register for that by September 7.”
