Get The Dirt for October
Get the October edition of The Dirt, says Sidney Gay, Stephens County Extension Coordinator and Agriculture and Natural Resources Agent.
“The October edition of The Dirt is out now. The monthly article is “Kudzu: The Vine That Ate The South”. We have two extension articles, one is “Ground Cover for Shaded Landscapes in North Georgia”, and the other is “Preparing for Winter: Protection of Ornamental Plants”. We have the Livestock Lowdown, 4-H Spotlight, and relevant upcoming events as usual. Don’t forget to register for the Fall Fruit Trees Class, and I’m really excited to announce the November Getting Started Beekeeping Lunch and Learn. We also have our pecan sale.”
Gay tells how to subscribe to get The Dirt each month.
“If you want to subscribe to The Dirt, you can go to https://extension.uga.edu/stephens.html. From there, click the Agriculture and Natural Resources tab, and then there will be a newsletter tab. You can put your first and last name and email. Then you’ll be subscribed, and you can cancel any time.”
The Stephens County Extension / 4-H Office is open Monday-Friday from 8 a.m. to noon and 1-5 p.m. at the Ferman Gregory Agriculture Center at 432 Eastanollee School Road.
