GBI ID’s Body Found in Jackson County Park
A body found in a Jackson County park has been identified.
According to Nellie Miles with the Georgia Bureau of Investigation, the victim is identified as 41-year old Buford “Mac” Evans of Winder.
Evans was found in a creek October 11 by a visitor to Sells Mill Park in Hoschton.
The body was sent to the GBI Crime Lab for autopsy and identfication. Miles said so, far they still have not determined a cause of death. She said that could take up to two months.
According to the obituary, Evans was married and worked as a contractor.
