Gary “Mouse” Smith

Gary “Mouse” Smith, age 70, formerly of Toccoa, passed away peacefully, Monday, May 4, 2026.

He was born July 12,1955 in Toccoa, Georgia and was the son of the late N.D. “Monk” Smith and Mildred Elrod Smith.

Surviving family members include, son and daughter-in-law Dustin and Samantha Smith of Sheridan, Wyoming, daughter Allison Smith of Toccoa, Georgia, and a very special friend, Nancy Ayers Addison of Richmond Hill, Georgia.

Gary was an avid outdoorsman who loved hunting, fishing, and playing golf. Gary found his greatest joy in nature. He loved spending his days in Wyoming on calm waters fishing, hunting, and simply feeling the peace and stillness of the outdoors.

To honor Gary’s wishes, there will not be a funeral service. We invite you to please celebrate Gary’s memory by stepping outside and enjoying a moment in nature, casting a line, or taking in a round of golf with those you love.

A special thank you to Capstone Hospice in Cumming, Georgia, for their quick response to needs with such love and caring assistance.  Lastly, much appreciation to Aaron and Lindsay Addison French for opening their home to Gary and family.
