Franklin County Takes 11U Title-Toccoa 10U Advances
Franklin County scored 7 runs after 2 outs in the bottom of the 1st inning and rolled to a 12-2 win over Toccoa in 4 innings to take the Little League District 7 11U championship Tuesday night in Lavonia.
Franklin County had 11 hits in the game led by Brentley Hewett with a home run and a double and 5 RBI’s.
Ryan Hill and Levi Phillips had RBI’s for Toccoa.
Franklin County will now represent District 7 in the state playoffs in Columbus.
The Toccoa 10U All-Stars kept their title hopes alive with an 8-2 win over Franklin County.
Toccoa will have to defeat Elbert County twice to win the championship.
WNEG will broadcast the Toccoa-Elbert 10U game on Wednesday night with airtime at 6:45 P.M. and first pitch at 7 P.M.
