Franklin County Downs Toccoa

Franklin County has advanced to the Little League baseball District 7 12U championship with a 12-1 win over Toccoa in 4 innings Wednesday night in Danielsville.

Franklin County scored 4 runs in the top of the first, 3 in the 2nd, and 5 in the 4th. The offensive attack was led by Ty Peeples with 3 hits, including a home run, and 3 RBI’s. Luke Beasley also went 2-2 with a RBI and 3 runs scored. Keyes Harbin was outstanding on the mound allowing only one run on one hit, and striking out five Toccoa hitters.

Toccoa’s lone run came in the 3rd inning when Zack Randall walked and scored on an Ethan Smith double.

Franklin County will now face Hart County in the District 7 Championship on Friday night. Hart County defeated Franklin County 5-3 on Tuesday. The District 7 winner will advance to the state tournament beginning next week in Toccoa.
