Franklin County 11U All-Stars beat Toccoa 7-6

The Franklin County 11U All-Star baseball team defeated Toccoa, 7-6, on Wednesday evening, June 24, at Doyle Street Park. The loss dropped the Toccoa team from the tournament.

Franklin County scored two runs in the first inning, three runs in the second, and one in the third.

Toccoa chipped away at the lead with a run in the first and second innings, followed by single runs in the fourth and fifth innings.

Toccoa tied the game in the top of the sixth inning at 6-6, bringing Franklin County to bat in the bottom of the sixth inning.

Franklin County got singles from Nolan Foster, Bryce Finger, Logan Taylor, and Hudson Griffin to score the winning run.

The win puts Franklin County into the winner’s bracket against Hart County on Thursday night, June 25, at Doyle Street Park.

WNEG will broadcast the game with air time at 6:45 p.m. and first pitch at 7 p.m.
