Football: Indians Have The Week Off
The Stephens County Indians football team will not have a game tonight due to the open date on their schedule. The Indians have completed the non-region portion of their schedule with a record of 3 and 2.
They’ll start Region 8-AA play next Friday night, September 27th, when they travel to Carnesville to play Franklin County. Kickoff will be at 7:30. The Franklin County Lions will play a game tonight as they go on the road to West Hall.
In other games tonight: Hart County will host Monroe Area, East Jackson will host East Hall, Banks County will host Rabun County, Commerce will host Athens Academy, and North Hall will play at White County. In addition to Stephens County, Habersham Central and Madison County all have the night off.
In Junior Varsity football, Stephens County defeated Winder-Barrow on the road Wednesday night, 35 to 14. The Indians’ JV will host Franklin County Thursday with kickoff at 5:30.
In middle school football action, Stephens County defeated Rabun County last night at home 48 to 6. The Rebels are undefeated at 5 & 0 on the season and will play at Hart County next Thursday at 5:30.
