Family Connection of Stephens County to host Annual Fundraiser on Saturday

The popular fundraiser that pits adults against Stephens County’s brightest 5th graders is back for a fifth year.

Family Connection of Stephens County announced that its “Are you Smarter than a Stephens County 5^th Grader?” game-show fundraiser will be held tomorrow, at 6:30 p.m. at Stephens County High School’s Tugaloo Center for Performing Arts.

The event features a team of Stephens County 5^th Grade Academy students aiming to put teams of adults to shame by outshining them in academics.

Family Connection staff explain that the students look forward to this event each year, adding that, they all get a kick out of being smarter than the adults.

The annual fundraising event is based on the game show, “Are You Smarter than a 5^th Grader?”

According to Family Connection staff all proceeds raised from the event will benefit many of the programs that Family Connection helps organize and coordinate in the county.

Family Connection of Stephens County is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization focused on improving child and family well-being in Stephens County.

Tickets for the event are on sale now and cost $5 for ages 12 and up.

Admission is free for those under the age of 12.

Everyone is invited to what should be a lot of fun, family entertainment.
