Fall Back Saturday Night
2024 Daylight Savings Time comes to an end at 2 a.m. this coming Sunday Nov. 3 – the first Sunday in November – triggering the annual clock “fall back,” and WNEG is reminding our listeners to set their clocks back 1 hour before going to bed Saturday night.
Setting your clocks back an hour is also a good time to do a home safety check, including checking the batteries in your smoke detector and to make sure your smoke alarm is working properly.
It’s also a good time to go over a fire escape plan with your family so you are prepared in the event of a fire.
This Saturday, sunrise will be at 7:55 a.m. in Toccoa, and sunset will be at 6:38 p.m. With the changing of the clocks at 2 a.m., Sunday’s sunrise will be at 6:56 a.m. and Sunday’s sunset will be at 5:37.
2025 Daylight Saving Time Starts Sunday, March 9, 2025.
