Enter the Lions Clubs Peace Poster Contest at the Library

The Toccoa Lions Club and Martin Lions Club are sponsoring the local Lions International Peace Poster Contest, and this year’s theme is “Harmony in Humanity.” Students are invited to create a poster showing their vision of how people can come together and live “Together As One.”

While supplies last, participants can come to the Toccoa-Stephens County Public Library and work on this project, says Adult Programming Director Carol Glaze.

“The Contest is open for 11 to 13-year-olds. People older and younger can submit posters for the contest, and they can win second place and lower. Each Lions Club pays cash prizes, and all posters submitted to the Lions will be published in the 2027 Lions Peace Poster Calendar, and your poster will be on display at an art show on January 23, 2027. You can come in and make a poster here. We have the supplies to do that.”

Posters are due on October 22, and judging takes place on October 24.

The Toccoa-Stephens County Public Library is located at 53 West Savannah Street in Toccoa. Hours are Monday through Friday from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., and Saturday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Check it out!
