Elsie Lucille Meeler Looney

Elsie Lucille Meeler Looney, 93, of Clarks Creek Community passed away Saturday
evening, March 7, 2020, at the Piedmont Athens Medical Center, Athens, GA.

Born February 23, 1927, she was the daughter of the late James and Etta Icy Davis
Meeler. She was the widow of the late Verner Daniel Looney. The last member of her
immediate family she was the sister of the late John Deaton, Harv Deaton, Jake Deaton,
Charlie Meeler, Robert Meeler, Odell Gerald, and Annie Mae Meeler. She was retired as
a supervisor with Carwood Manufacturing, Georgia Sportswear, and Grady Garment
Company. She was a member of Clarks Creek Baptist Church where she had served as
song leader, Sunday School teacher, and GA Leader.

Survivors include two ons and daughters-in-law: Edwin and Gloria Looney, Martin, GA;
Lee and Anita Looney, Martin, GA; four grandchildren: Amy Jones, Beth Turner, Adam
Looney, and Kelly Fowler; eleven great-grandchildren: Brycen Jones, Lex Turner,
Logan Turner, Brayden Looney, Westen Looney, Jamesen Looney, Lane Fowler, and
Diana Fowler, Reese Fowler, Kace Fowler, and Adalynn Jones.

Services will be Tuesday morning at 11am at the Clarks Creek Baptist Church with Rev.
Alan Cole. Interment will be in the Franklin Memorial Gardens.
The body is at the Ginn Funeral Home. The family is at their homes. They will receive
friends from 6 until 8pm Monday evening at the funeral home. Condolences may be left
