Elbert County Downs Toccoa to take 10U Title

Elbert County broke open a tight game scoring 10 runs in the final two innings to earn a 14-1 win over Toccoa and claim the District 7 Little League 10U championship Wednesday night in Lavonia.

Elbert County had 16 hits in the game and added aggressive base running to get the win. Elbert County won every game in the tournament by double digits and will advance to the 10U State Tournament in Smyrna.

Toccoa was limited to 5 hits in the game with the lone run in the 5th inning when John Dotson scored on a passed ball. Toccoa finished 2nd in the tournament.

WNEG’s next Little League broadcast will be July 5th when Toccoa hosts the Senior League State Tournament.
