Eight Arrested in Multi-County Burglary Ring

Authorities said that eight people face charges in connection to a multi-county burglary ring.

Stephens County Sheriff Randy Shirley said that his office worked with the Franklin County and the Madison County Sheriff’s Offices in making the arrests in connection to local residential burglaries.

Shirley said that the multi-agency investigation spurred off of a burglary in Stephens County back on June 2.

“Over $8,000 worth of personal property was taken from a home off of Edmonds Road,” said Shirley. “Consequently, we have recovered a majority of all of the property. During the course of the investigation with Madison and Franklin counties, there were several search warrants issued and a subsequent search of property down there gained eight additional arrests.”

Shirley said that the homeowner on Edmonds Road was able to provide valuable information to assist in identifying possible suspects and their location.

The sheriff said that off of that, his investigators traveled to Franklin County for their assistance in locating the suspects.

He said this then led investigators to Madison County where all agencies participated in the service of search warrants at three separate locations.

According to the sheriff, these searches resulted in the recovery of property from Stephens County as well as other surrounding agencies.

Shirley said that the investigation was a great team effort.

“We were real successful in making all of these arrests,” said Shirley. “When you get that many individuals involved in stealing property and make that many solid arrests and recover property at the same time, as well as drugs, you have done a good day’s work.”

Shirley identified those arrested as follows:

  • 34-year-old Tiffany Roseanne Holmes of Danielsville was charged with Burglary and Giving False Information
  • 37-year-old Christopher Mitchell Carson of Danielsville was charged with Burglary
