Early voting continues in Stephens County

Early voting for the Presidential Preference Primary and Primary Election is underway in Toccoa-Stephens County.

According to Stephens County Registrar Eureka Gober the early voting period is off to a strong start with several residents casting early ballots.

Early voting will continue Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. until 5 p.m. daily until Friday, June 5.

Gober reminds voters that on Saturday, May 30, the Registrar’s Office will be open from 9 a.m. until 4 p.m. for one day of Saturday voting for residents who are unable to cast an early ballot during the week.

Additionally, Gober says the Registrar’s Office has implemented some safety practices to ensure each voter is protected from the spread of COVID-19.

Lastly, Gober says anyone who would like to vote by absentee ballot can still request an application for one.

All absentee ballots are due back to the Registrar’s Office no later than 7 p.m., June 9.

There is a Ballot Box located in front of the Government Building for Absentee Ballots to be dropped off at.

The Presidential Preference Primary and Primary Election will be held on Tuesday, June 9.
