Early voting continues after a busy first week

The first week of early voting wraps up today in Stephens County.

But, you still have time to cast an early ballot before the November 2 deadline.

Stephens County Registrar Bill Cochran says that there has been a good voter turnout this week.

He encourages the community to take advantage of the early voting period, and skip the lines on election day, November 6.

Early voting runs Monday through Friday, from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. until November 2.

There will be a Saturday vote on October 27.

Cochran says that there will be a Saturday vote on October 27, and that polls open at 9 a.m. and will close at 4 p.m.

All early voting is at the Stephens County Registrar’s Office, which is located in the Stephens County Courthouse Annex on Tugalo Street in Downtown Toccoa.

Those who do not vote early will cast ballots on November 6 at the Stephens County Senior Center.

Polls, on election day, will be open from 7 a.m. until 7 p.m.

Cochran says if you want to vote early but cannot do so in person, absentee ballots are still going out.
