DPH reports increase of COVID-19 cases in Stephens County

According to the Georgia Department of Public Health, Stephens County now has 216 cases of COVID-19.

To date, Stephens County has had six deaths due to complications from COVID-19.

Habersham County continues to be the county hit the hardest in our area with 666 positive cases of the virus and 35 fatalities due to complications from the virus.

In other neighboring counties, Banks County has a total of 130 cases, Rabun County has 42 cases and three deaths, Franklin County has 187 cases and one death, and Hart County has 56 cases.

Across the state of Georgia, the Department of Public Health is reporting a total of 79,417 cases, of those, 10,824 have been hospitalized and 2,784 have died from complications of the virus.
