DPH Reports Another Death in Stephens Due to Covid-19

The Georgia Department of Public Health is reporting another death in Stephens County due to complications related to Covid-19.

The latest report from the Georgia Department of Public Health has Stephens County now with 42 deaths related to the virus and 1,222 positive cases of the virus since the beginning of the global pandemic.

The latest report was released Wednesday afternoon.

According to the Georgia Department of Public Health, the ages of those that died related to the virus in Stephens County are as follows:

Age 90 and over-6

Age 80 and over-12

Age 70 and over-11

Age 60 and over-9

Age 50 and over-3

Age 40 and over-1

In Stephens County, 26 of the deaths in Stephens County have been female, and 16 have been male.

DPH is also reporting another death in Habersham County bringing that total to 73, and now 1,783 total positive cases of the virus.

In other neighboring counties, DPH is reporting 16 deaths in Hart County and still 548 cases, Rabun County is still reporting 11 deaths and 402 cases, Banks County is still reporting 8 deaths, but now 527 cases, and Franklin County with 815 total positive cases and 16 deaths.

Across the state of Georgia, the Department of Public Health is now reporting a total of 334,601 cases, of those, 29,918 have been hospitalized and 7,470 have died from complications of the virus.
