DPH announces error in reporting COVID-19 in Stephens County

The Georgia Department of Public Health announced on Tuesday evening that there were two confirmed cases of COVID-19 in Stephens County; however, as of Wednesday afternoon, it was announced that the second case was added in error.

There is only one confirmed case of COVID-19 in Stephens County at this time.

In Georgia, there have been 1,387 total cases of COVID-19, with 438 resulting in hospitalizations and 47 deaths.

The Georgia Department of Public Health releases daily updates of confirmed cases of COVID-19 at noon and 7 p.m.

A confirmed case is defined as a person who has tested positive for 2019 novel coronavirus.

At this time, Fulton County has seen the most cases of COVID-19 with 204 total cases.
