Doyle Street Pool Closed After Individual Tests Positive for Covid-19

Staff at the Doyle Street Pool/ Camp Fire Georgia has received a report of an individual, that has recently been to the pool, testing positive for Covid-19.

The Doyle Street pool will be closed until further notice as staff works with local officials and the Georgia Department of Public Health to follow recommended procedures. The Doyle Street pool will resume operations when they feel it is safe to do so for both the staff and patrons.

Camp Fire Georgia reports that the staff is adhering to the recommended CDC guidelines including the wearing of masks, cleaning procedures, appropriate maintenance of water chemistry, and social distancing so as to provide a safe experience for all.

Management of the pool tells WNEG that they feel it is their responsibility to inform guests so that you will know to monitor for symptoms and seek immediate care if symptoms arise. They have no reason to believe the person contracted Covid-19 at the Doyle Street Pool, but they were informed that the person may have been contagious while at the pool.
