Dickerson named HCHS’s Head Football Coach, Athletic Director

A former Stephens County native has been named the new Head Football Coach and Athletic Director at Hart County High School.

Cory Dickerson, who has served as the Hart County Bulldogs Defensive Coordinator the past 5 seasons, was named as the 17th head football coach at Hart County High School in a press conference at the school on Wednesday.

Dickerson is a graduate of Stephens County High School and Presbyterian College.

This will be his first head football coaching position, but he has served as assistant at West Hall, Sandy Creek, Gainesville, South Gwinnett, and Jefferson.

Coach Dickerson says since he was a young child visiting his grandparents, he has known of Hart County.

Dickerson is replacing Rance Gillespie, who was at Hart County for 5 years and leaves with a record of 28 wins and 27 losses, but an overall career mark of 147 wins and 78 losses.
