Deborah Frady Brown
Deborah Frady Brown, 69, a cherished member of our community, passed away unexpectedly on January 7, 2026, while recovering from surgery.
She was born August 25, 1956, in Stephens County, Georgia to William Lee “Bill” Frady and Jessie Mae Hudson Frady. Deborah graduated from Habersham Central High School in 1974 and received her master’s degree in special education from Brenau University. She left an enduring mark on the lives of hundreds of students throughout her career as an English teacher at Habersham Central High School.
She was a devoted member of St. Thomas the Apostle Anglican Church and served
faithfully in Daughters of the King. Deborah was a woman loved by every person and animal she met. Her entire life radiated good will and love for friends and family alike. She enjoyed traveling, hiking, reading, and spending time with family, and especially revered the North Georgia Mountains and South Carolina Low Country. She frequently volunteered at the local animal shelter.
She was preceded in death by both parents and her grandson Constantine J. Furst.
She is survived by her cherished partner, Rodger Foreman; one child, Jess Furst and partner John; her brothers Rick Frady and wife Bonnie and Dr. Robert Frady; nephew Vance Frady and partner Kim; nieces Allison Nissen and husband Thor, Lindsay Thomas and partner Katie; great-nephews, Graham Nissen, Reid Nissen, Holden Thomas, and J.W. Thomas; foster sister, Livia Jane Henslee; and beloved cats Mojo and Agatha.
The Requiem service will be held at St. Thomas the Apostle Anglican Church on Saturday, January 17, 2026, at 11:00 a.m.
Memorial service will be held Monday, January 19, 2026 at 2:00 p.m. in the Hillcrest Chapel of the Acree-Davis Funeral Home with The Reverend Father Ian Jarrells officiating.
The family will receive friends at the Acree-Davis Funeral Home on Monday from 1 p.m. until the service time. Online condolences may be left for the family at www.acree-davisfh.com.
