Community Fireworks in Stephens County This Friday

The Community Fireworks display at the Stephens County Recreation Department on Rose Lane will be this Friday night.

Cheryl Stinnett, Program Director for the Stephens County Recreation Department, says this annual community event will be fun for all ages. “We just want everyone to come out, bring your family and friends, bring chairs, blankets, and enjoy the fireworks. They (the fireworks) will begin after dark, but during the day we will have inflatables, the Splash Pads will be open, Top Dawg Grillers will be there and Kona Ice. We have two sponsors this year and they are 1st Franklin Financial and T&D Concrete LLP (Tony and Darryl Hicks) so we would like to thank them very much.”

The Splash Pad will be open extended hours this Friday from 11 A.M.-8:30 P.M.

93.1 FM and AM-630 WNEG will be broadcasting reports leading up to the fireworks and will provide the music soundtrack for the fireworks display.  Remember, you’ll need to bring a lawn chair or blanket if you plan to sit on the lawn overlooking the ball fields.
