Commissioner Bell receives recognition at ACCG Annual Conference

A Stephens County Commissioner recently received recognition through the ACCG.

During the 2019 ACCG Annual Conference in Savannah, Georgia, Stephens County Commissioner Dennis Bell was awarded a certificate for completing the Revenue & Finance track through the Lifelong Learning Academy.

ACCG Executive Director Dave Wills says the Lifelong Learning Academy was created to help county officials expand their skillset, equipping them to address the challenges they face and to take advantage of opportunities to improve their respective communities.”

In a written statement, Wills says quote: “I commend leaders, such as Bell, who understand the value of continuing their education, taking the initiative to engage in the Lifelong Learning Academy, which is truly a program of excellence,” end quote.

For more than two decades ACCG and the Carl Vinson Institute of Government at the University of Georgia, have collaborated to offer supplemental training and educational tools in the Lifelong Learning Academy.
