Citizen’s tip ends with 2 arrested

Recently, two Toccoa Women were arrested after officers, with the Toccoa Police Department, found drugs inside a Toccoa residence.

On July 12, officers were dispatched to Stephens Drive in reference to possible drug activity.

According to Toccoa Police Chief Jimmy Mize, his officers had received a citizen’s tip regarding the activity.

Mize said that when the resident opened the door, officers began smelling the odor of marijuana coming from inside the home.

Officers advised the resident that whoever was inside needed to come out.

During a safety sweep of the residence, officers located and seized a quantity of marijuana and drug related objects.

Timika Figueroa, 34, and Morgan Hallback, 22, both of Toccoa were arrested for possession of less than an ounce of marijuana.

The two were advised by police, that if officers had to continue coming out to the residence for similar complaints, then the two would be arrested, again, for a disorderly house.
