Citizen complaints lead to the arrest of a Toccoa couple

Citizen complaints lead to the arrest of two Toccoa residents.

According to Stephens County Sheriff Randy Shirley, on September 25, deputies and investigators with the Stephens County Sheriff Office executed a search warrant on a residence located on E. Doyle Street.

Investigators began their investigation into the activity at this residence several months earlier after receiving a multitude of citizen complaints regarding heavy traffic at the residence.

Through the investigation, investigators obtained a search warrant.

Upon securing the residence and conducting their search, investigators located a quantity of methamphetamine and marijuana in the home.

Charles Edward Reed, 36, of Toccoa was arrested and charged with possession of methamphetamine and possession of marijuana.

Tiffany Temples age 23, of Toccoa was arrested and charged with possession of methamphetamine and possession of marijuana.

Shirley stated, “this residence has been the source of much concern for the law-abiding citizens who live in the neighborhood and they were forced to endure the constant criminal activity that it caused.

“I am happy that we were able to make arrests in this case and hope that neighborhood can now have the opportunity to rest a little easier knowing these individuals will face justice,” Shirley said
