Christmas Fest returns December 4th

Christmas Fest returns to Toccoa on December 4.

According to Main Street Toccoa Events Coordinator Sharon Crosby the city has planned several entertainment options for families to enjoy.

Christmas Fest will run from 6 p.m. until 9 p.m., and will kick-off with the annual City of Toccoa Christmas Tree lighting at 6 p.m.

Take in the sounds of the holiday season during this special evening as carolers stroll the streets and stores throughout the evening, serenading the shoppers.

Crosby says this year’s Christmas Fest will be socially distant.

She says the Festival of Trees will be sponsored by the businesses of Historic Downtown Toccoa.

The Festival of Trees will be outside this year on Friday from 6:00 p.m. until 9 p.m.

Also, Crosby says the annual Sage Market will be held outside.

Additionally, Crosby says Toccoa on Ice will begin on December 4th as part of Christmas Fest and returns every weekend in December.

Come to the Tugalo Street Parking Lot in Historic Downtown Toccoa and enjoy the artificial ice-skating rink. The cost to skate is $5 and includes your skates and as long as you’d like to enjoy the rink. The rink will be open on Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays—weather permitting.

Unfortunately, one beloved Christmas tradition won’t return this year and that’s Christmas in the Paul Anderson Park due to concerns for the spread of COVID-19.
