The Stephens County High School boys’ soccer team drops a region game to Jefferson. On Wednesday, the Indians lost, 4-1. Chandler Brown scored the Indians’ lone goal, assisted by Alex Duran. The Indians’ boys’ soccer team is now 1-2 in region play and 3-7-1 overall.

The Stephens County Middle School Lady Rebels’ tennis team captured the NEGIAA region tennis tournament on Friday with a 3-0 win vs. Franklin County in the finals. The Lady Rebels finished with a perfect 10-0 record and eight of those wins were shutouts. It is the third region title for the girls’ program in school history.

Stephens County High School tennis picks up a varsity sweep. The Indian and Lady Indian tennis teams swept area rival Habersham Central Friday afternoon. The boys’ team won 4-1 and their overall record improves to 9-4. Meanwhile, the girls’ team won 3-2 and their record improves to 3-10. Their next match is today at North Hall.
