One Stephens County Indians’ tennis player receives all-region recognition for the 2016 season. Freshman Ben Smith was named to the second team All-Region team for Region 8-AAAA last week. Smith went 6-2 in region singles play for the Indians. His overall singles record on the year was 11-3.

The Stephens County High School football team will wrap up Spring Practice with a scrimmage this weekend. That scrimmage will take place at 6 p.m. on Saturday at the Reservation in Toccoa. Two Stephens County Indian soccer players receive some all-region recognition. Region 8-AAAA released its all-region teams last week. Stephens County placed two players in the Honorable Mention All-Region category. They are defender Benji Smith and defender Andrew Whitlock.
