Carrol Joanne Martin Harris

Carrol Joanne Martin Harris, age 87 of Toccoa, passed away Wednesday, December 8, 2021 at the Clary Care Center.

Born January 21, 1934 in Tarrant, AL, she was the daughter of the late Wilbur G. and Roberta Donaldson Martin.

She was retired from the Wilkinson Center and was a member of Encounter Church.

Family members include her daughters and sons-in-law, Jana and Gil Gilliland of Eatonton, GA, Leigh Ann Wall of Toccoa, and Holly and John Defenbaugh of Charlotte, NC; son and daughter-in-law, Dan and Jan Harris of Toccoa; brother, Doug Martin of Panama, IL;

13 grandchildren; and 9 great-grandchildren.

The family will receive friends at the mortuary from 6pm – 8pm Saturday, December 11, 2021.

Funeral services will be held at three o’clock Sunday, December 12, 2021 at Encounter Church with Pastor Josh Garner and Pastor Scott Collett officiating.

Burial will follow at Toccoa City Cemetery.

Family members will serve as pallbearers.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Shirley’s Soul Food and Shelter, 124 W. Currahee Street.
