Bulldogs Run Away from Indians

The Hart County Bulldogs broke open a close game with six runs in the fifth inning to deal the Stephens County Indians baseball team a 12-2 loss Thursday night at the Reservation.

Hart County jumped out to a four run lead, getting four runs off of Carson Worley in the top of the first inning. The Indians countered with a run in the bottom of the first on an RBI double by Isaiah Martin. Jordan Page led off the fourth inning with a single and eventually came around to score to make it a 4-2 game.

The Bulldogs batted around in the fifth inning and added two more runs in the top of the 6th inning. The Indians could not get another run which and the game ended after six innings due to the run rule.

Carson Worley took the loss after going four innings on the mound. Trey Horton went four innings for Hart County and got the win. Paul Davis had three RBIs for the Bulldogs.

Stephen County is now 3-3 on the season while Hart County is 5-2. The two teams meet again this evening in Hartwell with game time at 5:55 and air time on WNEG at 5:45PM.
