Brenda Fulghum Gragg

Brenda Fulghum Gragg, age 71 of Toccoa passed away Thursday, November 27, 2025, at Northeast Georgia Medical Center Gainesville.

A daughter of the late Alton Eugene Fulghum and Sara Bailey Fulghum, she was born July 6, 1954, in Franklin County, Georgia, having lived the greater part of her life in Stephens County, Georgia.  Brenda spent decades working with various community organizations, working as a social worker for Salvation Army in Toccoa, GA and teaching classes with participants in The Mountain Judicial Circuit Drug Court. Other organizations that Brenda worked with over the years include Circle of Hope, Community Prevention Network, F.A.I.T.H Powerhouse for Kids, Love Him Love Them Ministry, Kinship Care, Mustard Seed Counseling, Miracles Happen Recovery, Legacy Link, The Northeast GA Poverty Round Table, Disability Resource Center, Open Arms Clinic, Boys and Girls Club of Toccoa-Stephens County, Ninth District Opportunity, Drug Free Stephens and countless others.

More than just a profession, her work was a calling. Brenda tirelessly advocated for systemic changes, believing that everyone deserved dignity, a safe place to sleep, and food on their table. To Brenda, the battle with addiction never defined a person. Instead, she chose to see the love, kindness, and potential in every person, no matter what their struggle. Her legacy lives on in the lives she touched, the families she helped heal, and the community she worked so hard to strengthen. She was a true advocate, a trusted confidante, and a loving warrior for social good.
