Breaking News: TPD continues search for suspect believed to be responsible for multiple stabbings and abduction

Law enforcement continue their search for the man they believe to be responsible for multiple stabbings and an abduction.

According to Toccoa Police Chief Jimmy Mize, 48-year-old Kenton Hall is wanted in connection to the stabbing of two Toccoa residents and the kidnapping of a Toccoa woman.

Kenton Hall is described as a black male, 5’11”, 178 pounds, brown hair and brown eyes. He may be wounded from the altercation and should be considered armed and dangerous.

Mize says officers were dispatched to a residence on Mill Street, Monday evening, in reference to a medical call of a person bleeding.

Upon arrival, officers found the first victim, identified as 64-year-old Robert Maxwell, bleeding from multiple stab wounds. EMS was treating Maxwell while officers checked the address.

A second victim was located lying on a couch inside the residence. Nancy Johnson, 66, of Toccoa, was found with multiple stab wounds and abrasions. During the investigation it was determined there was a third victim, identified as 49-year-old Patricia Hall, who was possibly injured and kidnapped.

The suspect, Kenton Deshawn Hall, had arrived at the Mill Street address and a disturbance had ensued. As Kenton was leaving the residence, he told Patricia she was going with him and the pair left on foot.

Maxwell was flown to Northeast Georgia Medical Center in Gainesville. Johnson was stabilized at Stephens County Hospital and later transported to Northeast Georgia Medical Center.

Mize says that after officers secured the scene, the Criminal Investigation Division unit responded to the scene and hospital. The GBI was called in to assist in the investigation and crime scene processing.

The tracking dogs from Lee Arrendale Prison were called to assist with tracking the suspect and victim. GSP Aviation unit was called to assist with the “FLAIR” unit on a grid search.

Mize says officers from the Police Department and Deputies from the Stephens County Sheriff’s Office searched the area and multiple other locations. The Sheriff’s Office CID Unit assisted with INTEL and helped search multiple addresses which were the last known addresses of the suspect.

911 Dispatch alerted area hospitals of the situation in case anyone presented with injuries matching the incident and wounds.
