Breaking News: Toccoa Police Chief advises ‘people stay at home’ as road conditions are unsafe

Breaking News: Local road crews are out clearing roadways as wintry precipitation is expected to persist over night. 

According to Toccoa Police Chief Jimmy Mize, the city road crews are out clearing major roads and pouring salt and brine to reduce the accumulation of ice.

Officials are advising people who don’t need to be on the roads overnight to stay at home.
