Brave Hearts hosting run, walk, and roll event next weekend

A local nonprofit organization has planned a 1K and 5K run, walk, and roll.

The race will be held at the Stephens County Recreation Department on Rose Lane.

Krista Terry is an advisor with Brave Hearts. She says the race will start at 10 a.m. on Saturday, October 1.

“Stephens County joins us on Saturday, October 1st, for the Brave Hearts’ run, walk, and roll beginning at 10 a.m. at the Stephens County Rec. Department. It’s benefiting the Brave Hearts organization in Stephens County, which is an organization that benefits special needs individuals and their families and does different advocacy events and really wants to get out and help the community. If you’re interested, you can visit their website and to register you can visit their website. Registration is $25 and includes a t-shirt. Make sure that you register as soon as possible, so that we can have a head count. We’ll have a couple of food vendors, live music, and overall it’ll be a good time for everyone,” she said.
