Barden To Be Recommended as Next SCHS Football Coach Today
The Stephens County Board of Education will vote this morning on hiring Frank Barden as the next football coach at Stephens County High School.
The school board is set to meet at 8:30 a.m. today at the Stephens County School System Administrative Offices.
Stephens County School Superintendent Sherrie Whiten said that she will present Barden’s name to the Board for approval.
The Atlanta Journal-Constitution has reported that Barden has accepted the job, if the school approves the hire.
Barden has been the head football coach and athletics director at Cartersville High School for the past 18 years.
He has also once served as an assistant football coach at Stephens County High School.
He would replace Travis Noland, who left Stephens County High School to take over the head football coaching position at Oconee County High School in Watkinsville.
